Guatemala

In 2018, I was able to go to Guatemala and work for a whole week providing free dental care! I even got a quick surf trip to the beach while I was there so it was a win-win! I traveled from San Martín to the neighboring village of San Martín Jilotepeque where I along with dozens of other dentists, hygienists, and assistants were able to provide full dental services to middle school- and elementary-age children.

We also had the opportunity to go to a couple of schools and teach the kids about the importance of oral health and hygiene. We got to eat with the kids and had a great time! This trip was with Global Dental Relief, they do these kinds of trips all over the world and were great to work with. We provided hundreds of fillings, extractions, and cleanings to those who would not otherwise have had access to dental care.

Every time we do these trips it just brings such an immense sense of gratitude for how blessed we are to be able to perform a meaningful service to those in need! A special thanks to all of our patients that make this service possible! We love all of you!
